Paddy Keyes is back with his latest indie-pop banger ‘Over and Over,’ a testament to the universally experienced hamster wheel of on-and-off again relationships.
23-year-old Paddy Keyes shifts 2024 into high gear with the unveiling of his stellar indie-pop single ‘Over & Over.’ The sister song to last year’s release ‘Complicated,’ the new track follows the trials and tribulations of toxic relationships, speaking directly to those of us who have allowed love to turn sour.
“Writing this song, I felt really stuck in where I wanted to go in life,” Keyes explained. “I was working in a customer service job that I hated. I tried linking that to a horrible relationship in the lyrics, knowing you want to get out of there but leaving is risking losing what you have, which is everything you know.”
Co-written alongside Daniel de Burca, the track showcases Keyes’ iconic guitar riffs and vocal prowess while ushering the young songster into a new era of modern indie-pop.
Newly announced as a part of the Donegal surf festival Sea Sessions lineup, Keyes has also confirmed that he will be supporting the Dublin indie band Post Party for the Galway and Cork legs of their UK-Irish tour. With an exciting year ahead, the Sligo-native gives listeners a taste of what is to come with ‘Over & Over,’ promising more new music on the horizon.
