Waterford rapper and Hot for 2020 artist Pat Lagoon has shared his vibrant latest single, 'DETOX'.

Produced by TunesOnTick and mixed by MyFault, aka Adam Shanahan, 'DETOX' will bring you back to smoking area drinks and rollies or the joy of pre-Covid house parties.

Despite its sobering name, it’s the type of tongue-in-cheek song that makes the Project X movie soundtrack - full of mischief, debauchery and vibrant youth.

“I was on the beer / You were drinking on the voddy / Everybody knows she was tryna get roddy (rich) / Chase her to the box / She was tryna flex her body / Sweatbox, Hotbox, Shoebox / Everybody in the room / Tryna Detox,” Lagoon raps, with an instinctive background beat.

Tipped as one of our 'Hot For 2020' Irish Artists, Pat Lagoon has crossed over from Soundcloud obscurity to become a formidable presence on the Irish scene over the last three years – with releases that swing effortlessly between hip-house, old school rap and trap.

Since first emerging in 2018, the Waterford artist has also made a splash internationally, with his RikShaw collaboration 'Shining' featuring on Antony Fantano's hugely popular YouTube channel. 2020 singles include the warm 'Take Time', 'Prada' and 'Smooth With It'.
