The second single from the sunny south east upstarts caps off a memorable summer for the band.
East coast garage rockers Peer Pleasure have shared their latest single ‘Take It’. A sleazy slice of bluesy psych-rock, the gnarly walking bassline and gritty guitars create the feeling that something filthy is happening in the room next door.
Recorded live at Hellfire Studios, Dublin, ‘Take It’ was engineered by Joe McGrath, mixed by Ivan Jackman and mastered by Killian Taylor. This second single comes ahead of a soon to be announced EP from the group.
Speaking of their latest release, frontman Brandon Murphy says the track is “a journey of self-discovery coming to terms with the less stunning and brave parts of the human psyche and facing down the barrel of your own uniqueness, originality, ability or lack thereof and the perpetual feeling of being outside a seemingly impenetrable in group.”
Hailing from Wexford, Wicklow and Dublin, Peer Pleasure consists of Murphy, Cein O’Dowd, Erik Murphy, Eoin O’Faherty, Jack Joyce, Joel Pitcher, Josh Fortune and Joseph O’Gorman.

After discovering a mutual interest in art, music and Joe Dolan: the septet punk outfit began as means of killing time during the pandemic. The group started demoing songs and sending them back and forth to each other and thus, Peer Pleasure was born.
Gigging at punk festivals, pubs and squats across Northern Europe, the seven-piece band’s DIY ethos was encapsulated with a protest show at Ionad Sean Hueston, during which they helped raise €1500 for the Revolutionary Housing League.
The band released their debut single ‘Weed Addict’ in March of this year, are have enjoyed a series of successful gigs across Ireland this summer.
