Dublin four-piece Pigeon Millers have released a beautiful and sentimental track 'We Always Do', listen below.
The Irish band, fronted by lead singer Doug Sheridan, has dropped a bittersweet track, penned by their frontman himself.
Speaking how the gentle and thoughtful track came about Sheridan says: “It's about couples having to dig deep when things are tough."
The Pigeon Millers' new song came about from Sheridan's own personal experience: "Myself and my partner, who I’d been with a long time, had hit one of those rough patches where every word seemed to be taken up the wrong way and it felt like things would never be easy between us again".
However, this moment wasn't without hope, Sheridan continues: "Feeling exasperated, I said “I hope we can turn this around”. She replied “We always do” – that immediately made me more hopeful."
Taking this deeply personal experience, the musician used it to pen this song, although not in the way one might expect: "I framed the song around people who had to emigrate for work after the crash and the people they had to leave. I was thinking of some".

The song makes use of a pleasing serenading guitar line, and dulcet vocals, making for the perfect easy listening track.
