Listen to the energetic and fast-rising Post-Party's latest single 'Lap Around The Sun' below.
Dublin-based indie rock outfit Post-Party prove their worth as highly-tipped acts with the cathartic banger ‘Lap Around The Sun’.
The tune follows in a chain of self-produced material. Recorded in Transmission Rooms, ‘Lap Around the Sun’ sees Post-Party explore the fleeting essence of beautiful moments, and that perhaps their finite nature is what makes them so significant.
Lyrically, the song celebrates the importance of letting and moving forward. Frenetic and energetic, the pacey, high-octane guitar lines hark back to early ‘00s The Strokes-era indie revival.
“We are really excited to release 'Lap Around The Sun'. The song is about the struggle and strife, but ultimately the relief of letting go of something in order to move forward", said frontman Keelan O’Reilly.
“This song has been a showing of the reworking of our back-catalogue. We worked really hard to reshape some old ideas and found ourselves falling in love with them in a new light. It’s kind of a full circle moment and perfectly represents where the song comes from, letting go of the old in preparation to embrace the new."

Since their formation, Post-Party have played in iconic venues and festivals across Ireland, sold out their own headline shows in Dublin and Belfast, and supported the likes of Miles Kane, Lovejoy and Inhaler.
The three-piece originally bonded over mutual passions for music and film. Influenced by indie-heroes such as The Vaccines and Phoenix, Post-Party aim to bring fun, jangly guitar pop to the masses.
