Despite the title, the new track from Post-Party exudes anything but negative energy. With its gleaming, sunlit production, ‘Negative Energy’ teems with sky-reaching vocals, magnetic guitar riffs and a high-octane rhythm section.
The song is a radiant offering of indie-pop that centres on the struggle of allowing oneself to sulk in negativity, and speaks to the importance of approaching any given situation with a positive outlook.
The propulsive tune follows the release of their debut EP We're Not Getting Any Younger in Summer 2023 and the first single from their new unreleased material this year.

Formed in 2018, Post-Party are an indie rock outfit that started when band members Matthew and Keelan - who coincidentally share middle and last names - met in college after a roll call confusion ensued during class. It was meant to be.

With a soundscape rooted in the turn of the century's new rock revival embellished with the frenetic sounds of 80s new wave, Post-Party seek to recite tales of their youth and juvenescence with an eye towards the way of what is to come.
‘Negative Energy’ is the second offering from what will be the band's sophomore EP, I Didn’t Before, But I See It Now, which drops on 12 April.
The band will celebrate the release with an Ireland and UK tour, returning to Dublin with a hometown show at The Button Factory on 13 April. Tickets start from €19.00 and are on sale now via Ticketmaster.
