Tickets for the Monaghan-native's upcoming Whelan's headline show are on sale today, Friday, May 5th via Ticketmaster.
Singer-songwriter based in Dublin but originally from Monaghan Rachel Mae Hannon has just dropped her new single, ‘The Boys’. Her latest release will be accompanied by a live performance of the new track on tonight’s Late Late Show on RTÉ One.
The sassy, passionate song is an anthem for empowering minorities and women alike, calling out the misogyny and toxic masculinity in today’s world. Laid upon a foundation of soulful drums and rich harmonies, the funky guitar riffs driving ‘The Boys’ makes for the ultimate crowd-pleaser.
Produced by Matt Weir and written by Hannon herself, ‘The Boys’ is the latest addition to a string of successful releases. In under a year, her recent single, ‘Work It Out’, has racked up 330,000 Spotify streams, while her debut, ‘Be In Love’ has surpassed the half a million mark. Like It Is, the Monaghan artist’s 2021 debut EP received airplay in Ireland, the US and UK and across Europe in Spain and France from the likes of BBC Sounds, 2FM, Today FM and RTÉ Radio 1.
