Listen to the first single from the Dublin singer-songwriter's sophomore album below.
Ahead of the release of his new album, The Corridors Of Love, in April, Robert John Ardiff has shared 'Tightrope Walker' – the poignant first single from the project.
“'Tightrope Walker' is a song that deals with the concept of wearing different faces or metaphorical masks and how one changes their personality based upon the situation they find themselves in," the Dublin singer-songwriter says of the new track. "It deals with the idea that if someone is wearing this mask they in fact become more, rather than less, truthful.”
Recorded in Camden Lane Studios, 'Tightrope Walker' offers a promising first taste of what to expect from The Corridors Of Love – which Ardiff describes as "an exploration of the stories that take place behind the close doors of an apartment complex."
"The songs deal with friendships, relationships, despair, joy and depression," he continues. "It is a sonically different record from anything I have previously released."
The Corridors Of Love follows the release of his debut solo album, Between The Bed And Room, in 2018 – as well as two albums with the Choice Music Prize-nominated act Come On Live Long.
