Dublin-based rapper Rodney Paz won't be pigeonholed into one genre.
Rodney Paz is standing out from the crowd with his astonishing versatility and originality, recently dropping his sixth 2021 single 'REDHOT'.
The track and accompanying video, directed by Will Kennedy, traces Paz' figurative journey attempting to make enough money to survive by "shiftin' grams".
Exploring classism and the marginalisation of those from lower income backgrounds, the demonisation of drugs and stereotypes around dealing drugs; 'REDHOT' is Paz at his finest, with fiery wordplay.
Sharing a new single and video being every three weeks; each new track pushes creative boundaries and touches on new styles and genres at every turn.
Lyricism is Rodney’s domain, with relevant relatable subject matter, matched with original flows and catchy melodic hooks. No matter what genres you're into, Paz has a track for you.
'REDHOT' was produced by Paz himself, while New Machine (producer and engineer for Maverick Sabre) mixed and mastered the track. The cover art was created by Dublin based artist Kali Kulukundis.

Previous explosive 2021 singles from Rodney include 'QUANTIZE', 'GEARHEAD', 'WAITING', 'flat-ou' and 'sham', showcasing his impressive work ethic and commitment to his craft.
Funk-soul hip-hop offering 'GEARHEAD,' was produced by Zissou, and centres around two polarising caricatures - a stereotypical ‘yuppie’ and an inner city drug addict.
Paz has long sought to share some food for thought in regards to the prejudice against and trivialisation of heroin addicts.
