Listen below to the pummeling track from Skies Behind's latest EP The Spaces (Expanded).
On the heels of releasing their extended EP The Spaces (Expanded), Cork-based rockers Skies Behind deliver a blistering explosion of epic sonic proportions. ‘DT Bagabiche’ sees the alt-rock outfit lean even further into the hot-blooded and aggressive soundscape they’ve made their calling card.
If you like headbanging about the gaff and screaming until your vocal chords turn to pulp, this is the song for you.
On The Spaces - Expanded, the band delves further into the sound and surrounding imagery of The Spaces, a sonic exploration that draws inspiration from a diverse musical palette, ranging from Boygenius to THUMPER. The brand new track ‘DT Bagabiche’ introduced on this deluxe release sees the band lean into the punchy and aggressive elements of their sound. A short sharp shock, this track represents a rejection of the constant societal need for more.
Unsurprisingly, the track has become an enduring staple of Skies Behind’s pummeling live sets, with its arrangement and scope being transformed over time through audience feedback and interaction.

'DT Bagabiche' seizes upon the caustic textures of punk rock and runs with it at breakneck speed. With its thrashing instrumentation, the offering is an alt-rock freight train of clanking-piston hooks and motorik finales.
To support the recently-released EP, the band embarked on a 12 date tour of Ireland and the UK. This saw Skies Behind play their first shows in the UK as part of a blistering seven gigs in seven nights sojourn. The band’s next live performance will see them headline Cork’s iconic venue The Kino on May 23rd, with support from raucous Dublin alt-rock group HAVVK and local shoegaze legends Mossy.
