Hailing from Newcastle, Co. Down, Rafferty's raw vocals stand out from the crowd on his brand new EP.
Northern Ireland's Stephen Rafferty has shared his debut EP this week, titled Blinded By Darkness.
A five-track musical project, the rising singer-songwriter explores various poignant themes on his first release, merging guitar-led soundscapes with stripped back acoustic renditions.
The title track, 'Blinded By Darkness', mental strain, sleepless nights and self-worth are all under Rafferty's spotlight. A huge talent, his gruff voice paired with vulnerable lyricism are paving the way for the Down artist's breakthrough moment.
'Masquerade' and 'Rock and a Hard Place' from the EP deserve honourable mentions, but the impressive first offering from the folk-influenced act is all about showing off that gravelly vocal talent.
