Off the back of their 7th studio album Sundowners, Irish rockers The Answer released their newest single ‘Wild Heart’ on November 17. Shared alongside a captivating music video, the band’s newest track offers a formidable rock anthem that’s sure to be a set list standout on their current UK tour.

With a groovy, infectious rhythm, a digging bassline and high-energy drums, ‘Wild Heart’ is a sublime mixture of pure rock ’n’ roll and dirty, distorted edges. The Answer exudes confidence throughout the track, with its unique, raw beat and the cool-tinged vocals of frontman and vocalist Cormac Neeson.

The accompanying music video, directed by British director JJ Eringa, showcases retro ‘70s clips from the daredevil biker era, featuring daring stuntmen and a fiery aesthetic that embodies the track itself.

Since forming in 2000 and skyrocketing upon the release of their record-setting debut album Rise, the band have enjoyed consistent success. The Answer released their 7th studio album Sundowners earlier this year to rave reviews; the album hit top 40 album chart positions in UK, Germany and Switzerland including number 1 in the UK national rock album chart.

The Answer

Sundowners was produced by British producer Dan Weller, who reunited with the band on their latest single to sprinkle some of his sonic magic on the track.

Following a buzzing summer festival circuit, which saw the band perform at over a dozen festivals across the UK and Europe, The Answer are currently on the road for their highly-anticipated UK tour.

For the first time ever, new keyboardist Cara Bruns is joining the band for their UK dates. A keyboardist and pianist from Essex, Bruns has toured the UK & Europe with groups such as Diva Purple, Surfquake (former New Model Army bassist), songwriter Martin Newell and poet Blake Morrison.

Of the tour and the band’s newest addition, Neeson says, “Finally we’ve taken a long awaited ambition to introduce a bit more of a keyboard flavour into our recent material and are thrilled to say that we’ll be bringing Cara Bruns out on the road in November & December as our live session keyboardist!

“The set list is going to be something very different to the last tour so we can’t wait to dip into more of the catalogue as well as some of the Sundowners album which we have yet to play live – we can’t wait!”

With 5 new dates through November and December in Manchester, London, Wolverhampton, Glasgow and Belfast, featuring support from special guests Kira Mac, The Answer put on a dazzling show that shouldn’t be missed.
