Irish folk-rock group The Funches have released their latest single ‘Easier’ just in time for summer.
Irish folk-rock trio The Fynches have released their newest feel-good summer anthem ‘Easier’, the first in a string of new releases on the horizon. A refreshing return to organic sounds, ‘Easier’ is a self-produced landmark for the band, representing their inescapable affinity for the art of music-making.
Permeated by warm horn arrangements and a uniquely melodic bass-line, the new track is a message of hope and new beginnings, acknowledging the challenges of the past while returning our gaze to the future.
The brainchild of brothers Ferdia and Oisín Walsh-Peelo, The Fynches echo the likes of folk-rock legends Crosby, Stills and Nash and The Band, digging their heels into the nostalgic, vintage sounds of the 1960s and 70s. Alongside drummer Camryn Teehan, the Walsh-Peelo siblings have quickly melded their various music fortes to craft an eclectic folk-rock sound that pulses at the heart of each new release.
With two acclaimed double A-side releases under their belt, along with a string of live performances across Dublin, The Fynches are now in the process of recording their debut album, which is sure to further cement their standing as a band to watch on the Irish music scene.
