Dublin's loudest Rock 'n Roll band The Minutes are back after four years with rollicking new track 'Got My Love'. It is the first single to be released from their forthcoming third long player.
As is the norm for the trio 'Got My Love' kicks ass, but is a more seasoned outing oozing soul, funk plus a QOTSAesque sucker punch. According to the band themselves since the hiatus 'The boys have become men and the men made a record, by themselves.' This maturity is reflected in this slick multifaceted gem.
The band which comprises of Mark Austin, Shane Kinsella and Tom Cosgrove formed in Dublin in 2006 and since then have released two lauded albums; 2011’s Marcata and 2014’s Live Well, Change Often. They are regarded as one of the best live acts in the country, and in the last few years their blistering, confrontational, always raucous gigs have been sorely missed by loyal fans.
They make a welcome return to the domestic circuit upstairs in Whelan’s, Dublin on May 18 and in Mike the Pies, Listowel on May 25.
