The four piece Dublin rock outfit kick off 2024 with brand new single and music video
The Psychs are back and have kicked open the swinging doors of the new year with brand new single and video 'The Bullet Song', a menacing two minutes and forty-eight seconds of wild western guitar riffs and gothic church organs.
The saloon aesthetic fuelled song opens with swelling drums and a dirty guitar line, making for a glam rock version of the likes of songs such as Big Iron. With a name worthy of a cowboy, Billy Kid Jones vocals shine on this track, heightening rock n'roll drama at every point in 'The Bullet Song'. Jones' voice has an innate flair that's as boozy and intoxicating as the saloon culture of the wild west.
'The Bullet Song' is a testament to the Kildare rock quartet's 2023 where they went from strength to verifiable strength; releasing their debut EP The Devil’s Favourite Son. The EP took influence from some of the band's favourites sounds: Queens of the Stone Age, AC/DC, Royal Blood, and The Dead Weather and Motley Cruë, and formulated a new, modern revival of the classic rock sound.
'The Bullet Song' continues the band on this trajectory of new riff and takes on the timeless genre, with 70s rock permeating every dripping guitar strum of the track.
'The Bullet Song' arrives just ahead of The Psychs' first headline show of 2024 at The Workman’s Club Cellar on Saturday 3rd February.
