The Cavan band's debut single is a post-punk headbanger.
'Gang War' which went straight to number 1 on iTunes on its day of release, is a high energy flurry of rock n'roll intensity.
Formed by ex The Strypes drummer Evan Walsh, The Savage Hearts are the punkier cousin of the rock n'roll group.
That said, The Savage Heart still have a healthy does of that retro 60s' sensibility that made The Strypes so beloved, only this time, it's with an infusion of psychedelic acid rock.
'Gang War' purvey a garage rock sound laced with a 60s authentic organ psych sound, conveying all the catharsis of punk, but the melody of psychedelia.
Made for foot stomping and head thumping, 'Gang War' is a tune that will have you hyped for almost anything.
With wailing harmonica, organ textures, fuzzy guitars and screeching vocals it's hard not to be intoxicated by the high energy flurry that is 'Gang War'.
