London-based Irish band TV People have unveiled their newest alt-rock banger.
A melancholic rock track, TV People’s ‘Disconnect’ explores the darker side of the human experience through soul-stirring declarations of “why can’t I be more” over piercing guitar lines and formidable percussion.
Made for lovers of Fontaines D.C. and SPRINTS, the tune is the perfect soundtrack for a reflective mindset on the journey home after a long, hard day.
The band consists of multi-instrumentalist duo Paul Donohoe and Brendan Clarke, who describe the track as “an exploration of losing oneself and the yearning to find meaning again.”
'Disconnect' was written from the perspective of someone who has lost the ability to recognise themselves, chronicling the experience of depersonalisation, isolation, aimlessness and disconnection.

The team behind the track is just as impressive as the talented team of two, with recording by Dan Doherty at Dublin’s renowned Darklands Audio, frequented by Fontaines D.C. and Denzel Curry, and mixed by Grammy Award-winning Caesar Edmunds, who has worked with St. Vincent and Queens of the Stone Age.
A relocation to London followed the momentum generated by the bands debut EP Nothing More, a showcase performance at Ireland Music week, and a sold out headline show in The Workman’s Club.
TV People have already released three singles this year before ‘Disconnect’, with their most recent single 'Adore' garnering success with spotlight plays on BBC Radio Introducing London and Radio X.
