The four-piece alternative rock group return today with their first release of 2021.
Dublin-based outfit VLLNS have shared their brand new single, the dark and gritty 'I'll Follow You Home'.
The quartet is comprised of Liam Boyd on vocals and guitar, Rob Halford on lead guitar, Kyle Quinn on bass and Luke Fields on drums.
VLLNS' most recent single was New Years Eve 2020's rumbling 'I Fade Away', following on from 'Unknown Desires' and 'One Minute You Is (And The Next You Ain't').
Distorted, bass led track 'I'll Follow You Home' has a distinctive non-uniform structure, which adds to the overall dark and unsettling undertones.
The voiceless bridges between verses accompanied by a swirling, intense lead riff inform a sense of impending danger as it progresses, leading to the heavy drum breaks capping each end of the chorus.

"The song stems from the fact that women often assume that the man walking behind them at night, or the man waiting next to them at the bus stop, might be dangerous," VLLNS tell Hot Press of the track's origins.
"We may as well all be monsters until we can remove that justified fear. Recent times have brought the term 'Not all men, but all women' to the fore, and that fits perfectly with the sentiment of this song."
VLLNS plan to return to the studio in the coming months to record again, aided by funding by MISP awarded to them last year. With a halt on live performances due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the group have spent their time working on new material and additional content for release over the coming months.
