Having previously released music as London/Dublin duo Caleb & Walshy up until this point, Luke Walsh is stepping out on his own terms, with ridiculously fantastic tunes - such as 'mm mm good (in the cellar)'.
Luke Walsh, known by his moniker Walshy, is making serious waves in the Irish hip-hop space. From his producing abilities to his solo releases, no one's doing it quite like him.
The North Dubliner's latest release 'mm mm good (in the cellar)' features rapper and Tallaght-native, Curtisy. Teaming up to bring jazzy, chilled hip-hop vibes to fans, this track marks Walshy's third release this year, including the musician's EP Just Walk Away. Curtisy's thick Dublin accents provide for perfectly rhyming bars, backed by stunning harmonies and bass-fronted beats.
The soulful single features sampling from Kimiko Kasai's 'Mmm Mmm Good', hence the songs title - coupled with the fact the duo recorded in Workman’s Cellar.
Singing the infectious hook, Walshy describes this track as the “treacherous realm of momentary pleasures and their long-term consequences.”

“Recording this track in the VIP room of The Workman’s Cellar gave the track the playfulness it needed,” Walshy stated. “Curtisy is a treat to record with and I think the chemistry we had comes through on the song."
The duo will be playing the track in Walshy's first live performance since releasing music as a solo artist on August 25 in The Workman's Cellar. Tickets are available here. The long awaited album launch party will feature a full set from Walshy, Curtisy, lowkick, domtavlor, Susy Good, and Fizzy Selects.
