Train
On first listen, ‘Trains’ is something of a radical departure for Goldfrapp, a bass-driven stomper that seems a million miles away from the studied melancholy of Felt Mountain, and even Alison’s voice seems less angelic than before. But give it a couple of listens and you’ll find yourself sucked bodily into its incessant rhythm and infectious vocals as it chugs angrily towards a tumultuous crescendo.
