Having an Irish gig in the middle of winter will mean the lead singer Fran Healy suitably asking the question, "Why does it always rain on me?"
Scotland's finest rock band, Travis, are jetting into Dublin this winter for a one-off show on their world tour.
Re-promoting their smash-hit album The Man Who , the rock band will perform in the Olympia on December 9th.
The group shared their excitement about the Irish date via a Twitter post.
We are bringing 'The Man Who' to the Olympic Theatre, Dublin where, in 1999, we performed it the first time. Totally thrilled to be playing in this room again and looking forward to being back in town!

The group released the classic album 18 years ago, yet critics say it is as relevant today as ever before. Performing all of their timeless classics like 'Writing To Reach You’, ‘Driftwood’, ‘Turn’ and the monumental, ‘Why Does It Always Rain On Me’, the group are set to delight Irish crowds.
“Songs are like emotional bookmarks in time,” Fran Healy said in a statement. “When you hear a song you are transported to those times and feel strong echoes of the feelings you felt. Rarely does an album have this ability so performing The Man Who is going to be a joyous occasion.”
The Man Who spent an astonishing 11 weeks at Number 1, selling nearly 3 million copies. It became the biggest selling UK album in 2000. It scraped up awards like ‘Best Songwriter’ & ‘Best Contemporary Song’ for ‘Why Does It Always Rain On Me?’ at the Ivor Novello Awards, and and 2 BRIT awards for ‘Best British Band’ and ‘Best British Album’.
Since, the group have released two No.1 LPs, five Top Ten singles, two BRIT Awards and more than 8 million record sales in their illustrious career and released their latest critically acclaimed album ‘Everything At Once’ in 2016.
