The deposition on Monday happened on the same day that fellow rapper Drake was performing in Houston. Drake, who took to the stage with Scott during Astroworld, was also sued in connection with the tragic events.
Travis Scott was questioned on Monday during a deposition connected with the hundreds of lawsuits filed against him over the deaths and injuries which occurred at the rapper’s Astroworld festival in 2021.
While lawyers and those involved are under a ‘gag order’, a spokesperson for Scott said a statement on the deposition was under preparation.
The occasion marks the first time Scott has been questioned by legal representatives since the disaster, which killed 10 people- who’s ages ranged from 9 to 27.

The deaths are said to have been caused by compression asphyxia, which experts say is similar to being crushed by a car.

Earlier this year a judge scheduled the first trial from the lawsuits for May 2024. Documents filed list more than 1,500 active cases, most of which were filed against the rapper and concert promoter Live Nation.
992 of these cases deal with physical injuries and 313 deal with “emotional distress, pain, suffering and mental anguish.”
In June, a grand jury in Houston declined to indict Scott and five other people on any criminal charges related to the deadly concert.
