The feud between two historic colleges ends this evening. Who will reign supreme?
Two of Ireland’s most esteemed universities will bring their eternal rivalry to the stage at The Grand Social - with the Trinity vs UCD Battle of the Bands taking place in the Dublin venue tonight.
3 acts from each institution will showcase their talents and look to earn the bragging rights for their respective campuses. The performances are set to be judged by an expert panel, which includes renowned singer-songwriter and Hot Press' own Tadhg Williams, Royal Irish Academy of Music examiner Ealu Thomas, and a representative from beloved Dublin outlet musicmaker.

In the red (and black) corner, representing Trinity College Dublin, are rambunctious rock outfit Raw Cuts, alternative pop duo Spritz, and fuzzed-up industrial pairing Burglar.
Waving the flag for University College Dublin will be Phoebe Bridgers-inspired indie folkster Sophie Maria, retro-influenced indie project Precinct, and post-hardcore noisemakers Bees & Sawdust.
