Trophy Wife is back with a Spring headline show at The Workman’s Cellar.
Trophy Wife, also known as Ruby Smyth, has announced her return to The Workman’s Cellar in Dublin on 3rd March.
After the positive reception of her debut EP Art from Irish media outlets and fans alike, Smyth is set to release her sophomore EP Showpony in March 2024.
The Irish singer-songwriter, musician and producer finds inspiration in the indie rock sounds of the 70’s alongside songwriting legends Steely Dan, Carole King and Joni Mitchell. Combining the softness of Snail Mail with the grunge of 90’s rock, Trophy Wife's upcoming album will focus on themes of queer love, loss, privacy and domestication.
This past year, Smyth was seen opening for artists like Men I Trust, Haley Blais, Rozi Plain, The Pearl Harts and Caroline Rose, and her latest singles ‘Scully’ and ‘Drug Dog’ have amassed over 20,000 streams on Spotify and 100 radio plays.
