Joseph Dun mentioned that Twenty One Pilot’s follow-up to ‘Trench’ could be “two very different records”.
Ohio rock duo Twenty One Pilots have released some holiday magic for their fans in the form of new track 'Christmas Saves the Year', accompanies by an animated music video from Johnny Chew.
The band will be hitting the road in June and July of next year in support of their fifth studio album Trench.
Joseph and Josh Dun celebrates the joy that this season brings even when the months leading up to it have been challenging at best.
Nostalgically familiar production and a gorgeous choral refrain make the song a future classic.
“Cause everybody wants to make it home this year/Even if the world is crumbling down...You rest assured, Christmas saves the year,” Twenty One Pilots write in the lyrics.

The new song marks an end to an eclectic year of events for the Ohio outfit.
Joseph previously took part in a live-streamed charity Fortnite tournament on Twitch, with the band revealing a new range of emotes on the streaming site based on their mascot ‘Ned’; who featured in the music video for Trench track ‘Chlorine’ last year.
