The band revealed details on the new album during a live stream.
Two Door Cinema Club have announced their fourth studio album, False Alarm, and released single 'Satellite'.
False Alarm, which will examine social and environmental issues through the lens of pop, is due out June 14 via Prolific Inc/PIAS. 'Satellite' gives listeners a taste of the Northern Irish band's new album and proves to be a departure from the trios past sound.
“I love the pop thing,” frontman Alex Trimble explained in a statement. “I love experimenting and going to different places, I love doing things that are a little bit wonky and I love the idea of doing something we haven’t done before, why can’t we do all of those things at once? That’s what it was, doing whatever felt right… It sounds like Two Door Cinema Club – not a Two Door Cinema Club there’d ever been before but that’s what I love. We can always do something new but it always feels like something we’ve done.”
Two Door Cinema Club will be back on the festival circuit this year with stops at the Galway Arts Festival, Sea Sessions, Ward Park, Big Weekend, Glastonbury and more.
