They've also been confirmed as one of the headliners for next year's Sea Sessions.
Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh have today made Two Door Cinema Club their first confirmed act to play the Heineken Big Top at Galway International Arts Festival in 2019, which will be taking place from July 15th-28th with the band taking the stage on Friday the 26th.
With three commercially successful albums to their name and having made themselves festival staples since their 2007 formation, the County Down band have solidified their name as one of Ireland's most prominent indie bands.
Featuring the immediate hits ‘Something Good Can Work’ and ‘Undercover Martyn’ and having been selected for the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year in 2011, their debut album Tourist History catapulted Alex Trimble (vocals), Sam Halliday (guitar) and Kevin Baird (bass) into the public consciousness. The trio built on that with a No. 1 sophomore effort in 2012's Beacon, and their 2016 record Gameshow which was received with widespread positivity and also made a strong impression on the charts.
Festival attendees can expect a set-list comprising of songs from across the band's growing discography, from 'What You Know' to 'Bad Decisions', and an energetic live experience that has cemented their reputation. More acts are set to be announced in the coming weeks.
