The Californian rapper and producer also announced that his annual music festival, Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, will be held this November 9-10.
Californian rapper Tyler, the Creator has announced that his latest album, IGOR, will be released on 17 May. Accompanying the announcement was the album's cover art along with an alternate cover that the rapper attributes to American artist Lewis Rossignol.

The announcement comes after a series of teaser videos posted since 1 May, including a 50-second long clip of eighteen identically dressed Tylers staring into the distance over a background of synth music and, eventually, a beat, as well as an equally brief clip of the artist in a blonde wig and sunglasses, seeming to mime a sort of boxing match in front of a vintage-looking set. You can watch both videos below.

IGOR will mark the 28-year-old’s fifth studio album, following 2017’s Flower Boy, which hit No. 1 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop and US Rap Album charts and climbed to No. 1 in the UK, Australia, Canada, and Denmark. The rapper is also known for his producing credits (he worked on Frank Ocean's Channel Orange and Solange's When I Get Home, to name just a couple) and as a founding member of hip-hop collective Odd Future which, prior to its essential dissolution, included artists like Frank Ocean and Syd.
Though Odd Future has not been active since 2015, the music festival that sprung up around the group, Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, has been held each year since 2012. As the festival's curator, Tyler, the Creator confirmed in a tweet yesterday that the carnival will be held from November 9-10 this year at LA’s Dodger Stadium. Tickets will go up for presale this Friday 10 May at 8 pm Irish time.
