This will be Ali Campbell and his band's only Irish show of 2025
UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell – alongside special guest Damien Dempsey – have announced a massive outdoor Limerick gig for 2025, coming to the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday, August 24.
Ali, backed by the latest incarnation of his acclaimed band, is bringing his iconic reggae sound on tour next year, with the Limerick gig set to be his only Irish show of 2025.
Last year marked 40 years since the release of UB40’s classic album Labour of Love, which spawned many of the groundbreaking hits that will be performed on this tour – including the chart-topping ‘Red Red Wine’, ‘Cherry Oh Baby’, ‘Many Rivers to Cross’, and ‘Please Don’t Make Me Cry’.
Ali, a founding member of UB40, left the original band in 2008. He later reunited with his former bandmate Astro, with the pair teaming up for several projects, including 2022's Unprecedented – though Astro sadly died before the album's release.
"I think I’ve got the best reggae band in the world,” Ali says of his current band. “We can play in the UK, Africa or an island like Fiji, and people will be buzzing afterwards."

On the night, Damien Dempsey will also be performing tracks from his new album Hold Your Joy (out on October 25), in addition to fan favourites. More special guests are expected to be announced next year.
Tickets, from €59.90, go on sale this Friday, October 11, at 9am. See Ticketmaster for more information.
