Vampire Weekend is coming out with new music for the first time in six years.
Vampire Weekend has announced an 18-song double album with singles dropping next week. This will be their first album in six years, following 2013’s Modern Vampires of the City.
In an Instagram post, Vampire Weekend frontrunner Ezra Koenig revealed the initials of the album title are "FOTB". Koenig had originally planned on the album title being Mitsubishi Macchiato, but wrote that the title was no longer fitting. The album will also be the indie rock band’s first without Rostam Batmanglij, who left the band to pursue a solo career.
"It’s a lot of songs but they all belong there," wrote Koenig in his Instagram post. "At first, I wanted to make two 23-song albums on some human chromosome shit but then 23&me started doing Spotify playlists and I don’t know…felt we’d been scooped."

The release date for the 59-minute-long album has yet to be announced, but starting next week two songs will be released every month until "FOTB" has arrived.
