The Irish Rock & Roll Hall of Famer also shared the lead single ‘Choppin Wood’.
Van Morrison has announced the release of New Arrangement and Duets, an album which will delve into his archives, on September 27.
The record will be comprised of unreleased material, including a host of duets with Willie Nelson, Joss Stone, Curtis Stigers and Kurt Elling, which were recorded between 2018 and 2019.
According to XSnoise, the big band tracks were recorded in 2014, with Paul Moran and Chris White individually choosing the tracks they wanted to create big band arrangements for.

Announcing the album in an Instagram post, Morrison wrote: “This album represents a small percentage of the huge amount of unreleased material we are hoping to roll out in the near future, rather than letting it gather dust in some archive.”

The first single, ‘Choppin’ Wood’, pays tribute to his late father, with its references to Belfast, the Harland & Wolff shipyard and his father’s admiration for jazz greats. The original version of the song featured on Van Morrison’s 2002 album Down The Road.
Following two Irish dates at Live At Botanic Gardens in Belfast on May 26, followed by Live At The Marquee in Cork on May 31, Morrison will be playing in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens on July 4.
