With just over two weeks to go until the June bank holiday weekend, Vantastival the music and camper-van festival has announced its going green for 2018.
The festival which takes place at Beaulieu House and Gardens, Drogheda will be taking on a number of environmentally friendly initiatives.
With the help of O Brother Brewing the festivals bar will be serving all drinks in re-usable ecocups, in an effort, to eliminate the use of single use plastics at the event. Plastic straws are banned from the site and coffee drinkers are encouraged to bring their own reusable cups to the coffee stalls instead of using paper cups.
While the festival has its own bars the festival is also BYOB event. With the help of the EU initiative Every Can Counts all beverage cans on site will be collected and recycled. Every Can Counts reps will be passing out bags for campers to separate their cans and will reward anyone who brings a filled bag to their stand with some great prizes. They’ll also be providing games, give-aways and competitions for anyone who wants to recycle and win.
