The jazz-punk band also announce a special student offer for their upcoming album launch at The Academy, Dublin.
Ahead of the release of their debut album, The Ritual Of Love Making, on April 3, Vernon Jane have shared the visuals for their powerful new single, 'Otherside'.
The release coincides with the announcement that the Dublin band have signed with international booking agents MPI - home to the likes of Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, King Kong Company, The Saw Doctors and more.
Combining raw vulnerability and aggression, 'Otherside' follows the success of Vernon Jane's recent single 'Daddy Issues', and explores the darker side of relationships.
“'Otherside' is a love song about loving someone so much it hurts you physically,” explains the band. “Believing that love should get you through anything, even when there has been violence, aggression, addiction. All of it can be forgiven.”
Lead singer Emily Jane speaks about the single at length in an episode of the Through The Lens Podcast with Louise Macnamara (Heathers) and Shelly Bukspan.

‘Otherside' and 'Daddy Issues' are both set to feature on The Ritual of Love Making. A concept album about intimacy, vulnerability, aggression and shame, the project is divided into four distinct sections: Cleanse, Sink, Drown and Float. Recorded across a whirlwind three-day session in Dublin's Camden Recording Studios, the album was produced by the band with the help of engineer Conor Brady.
Having previously sold out the Button Factory, Dublin twice and headlined Knockanstockan, Vernon Jane are set to unveil The Ritual of Love Making with a special album launch show in The Academy, Dublin on March 6 – with support from special guests Bicurious.
While standard tickets are on sale now, the band have also announced a special student ticket price for the gig. The offer is enabled via Ticketmaster outlets nationwide, by showing proof of a student ID.
