The Ringsend rap group take the top spot with their latest release 'Prefontaine'.
The first Irish Homegrown Top 20 has been announced today. This brand new chart highlights the biggest tracks by Irish acts each week based on combined sales across physical, download and streaming.
The IRMA chart is compiled by Official Charts Company and covers artists from both Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The chart is supported by RTE as part of The Official Chart Show on 2FM, which airs every Friday night at 7pm. Host Bláthnaid Treacy will unveil the biggest Homegrown singles of the week, with the full Top 20 appearing on OfficialCharts.com/Ireland.
The chart-topper this week comes from Ringsend rap duo Versatile. Their first track of 2019, 'Prefontaine', was shared on YouTube in May, with the Spotify release coming later in the month.
One thing worth noting with the inaugural Top 20 annoucement is that, aside from Sorcha Dunham of Walking On Cars, the list is entirely made up of male artists and male-fronted bands.
