'Katie's Waiting' is a veritable balm to the soul, and accompanied by a stunning stop motion promo. Enjoy...
Honorary Irishman Eric Eckhart treats fans to an early Christmas present with 'Katie's Waiting', a stunner of a tune that's somehow managed to remain unreleased for thirteen years.
A "sparse acoustic lament on the hope and struggle to follow you heart and make life changing decisions", it was written shortly after Eric moved from the States to Dublin, and fell in with Stephen Sensbach of the National Symphony Orchestra who supplies the cello.
Now based in Berlin, his latest album, Luminous, is on the RTÉ's Choice Music Prize longlist, and is worth a sneaky tenner to win.
'Katie's Waiting' is accompanied by this stunning stop motion video by Carlos Lascano, and is available on all streaming platforms later on today.
