The music video for 'Charlie Has the Face of a Saint' precedes New Pagan's Ireland Music Week Showcase at The Workman's Club.
Hot Press presents to you New Pagans' new music video for 'Charlie Has the Face of a Saint'. The Northern Irish band will also take to the stage at The Workman's Club tomorrow as part of the Ireland Music Week.
Designed and shot by the band's bassist and future director Claire Miskimmin alongside lead singer Lyndsey McDougall, the visual is an imagined clip featuring Lyndsey draped in fabrics in a variation of symbolic poses.
Watch the music video for 'Charlie Has the Face of a Saint' below:
The alternative rock ode was inspired by conversations overheard on a Belfast bus, melding together the mundane complaints, flippant remarks, and the monotonous prose of the everyday commuter into a collection of unremarkable yet crucially significant snapshots.

Writing tracks impassioned with meaningful messages and conversational topics, their previous release 'It's Darker' has led to the band being shortlisted for Best Single at the 2019 Northern Ireland Music Prize. The track has a feminist edge, as it confronts an incident in which a musician became aggressive towards Lyndsey at a party and wouldn't tolerate her opinions.
Tomorrow, the band will take to the stage at the Workman's Club at 8.45pm. Badhands, People Club, Melts and Thumper are also set to perform. In addition, New Pagans previously announced a hometown headline show at Voodoo in Belfast on December 22.
