The emerging Berlin-based group consists of Kieran Hurley on guitar and vocals, Aidan Lynch on bass and Henry Love on drums.
When we catch up with The Love Buzz in Berlin, they are truly buzzing for the release of their new 'Ellis Dee' video –and for lockdown to end.
"Being in Berlin going out of lock down is really inspiring, with all the clubs just opening there doors now for the first time since covid began and music happening all around you, it feels like a responsibility to soak it all in and learn about the subcultures in the city," says band member Aidan Lynch.
Featuring tracks like 'Sainsburys', 'Harp', 'Ellis Dee', '10 Spots' and the title track, The Love Buzz's recent Here Comes The Scum EP builds heavily on the trio's 2019 debut EP Candy Flip.
Sharing their name with the first song Nirvana officially released – a cover of a Shocking Blue single – The Love Buzz have plenty of future plans (and hopefully future tours) up their sleeves.
"We cannot say for sure when the next release will be but all I can say is it will come at the right time," Lynch explains. "The response from the Here Comes The Scum EP was unbelievable, so were busy at the music again but couldn't be more grateful to the love buzzers."

The outfit are heavily inspired by the likes of Pixies, The Flaming Lips, Fontaines D.C. and Elvis Costello - but The Love Buzz's sound is distinctively unique, matched with raw songwriting skills.
"Other influence would be Thee Oh Sees, The Garden, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, and of course – the original villans – Stump," says Aidan. 'The undisputed founders of every thing that is rock and realness, god fathers of goth, papas of primus and a band the world should be proud to be proud of," he continues.
'Ellis Dee', is full of explosive drum beats and irresistible guitar riffs, paired with a uniquely '80s soundscape. Punching out lyrics inspired, presumably, by psychedelics – having seen the end of the world – the addictive track will have you itching for more.
Speaking about the video, Lynch says: "The visuals for 'Ellis Dee' were animated frame by frame by @pnut_the_shamgod. I created a narrative for myself inspired by the song itself before working on the visuals. I suppose you could say the visual style of the video was inspired by years of watching cartoons on adult swim. I thought the jittery aspect of animating frame by frame would line up with the lads sound perfectly."
It'll transport you back in time, with its frenetic, swirling energy. Now here's a tune that needs to be heard at one of the Love Buzz's epic live shows...
