Alternative anthem 'Sunset' comes from a riveting new artist eager to push the boundaries of traditional electro-pop music.
Emerging Hot for 2021 Irish act Fya Fox is inspired by sparse electronic pop with emotive lyrical themes, invoking the influences of fellow alternative heroes London Grammar and Banks.
Hailing from the Monaghan/Armagh border region, the classically trained vocalist is determined to make her mark on the Ireland and UK music scene.
Her new single, ‘Sunset’ masterfully blends Fox's textured vocals with compelling acoustic infused pop beats, marking a stunning offering from an artist harbouring all the hallmarks for future stardom.
Hot Press are delighted to premiere the visuals for Fya's new venture, following her hugely impressive Y&E Series performance.
Fya’s previous two singles ‘Body’ and ‘White Lies’ have already been keenly supported by national radio stations and Radio One's Gemma Bradley on BBC Across The Line.
Fox's latest video outing sees self-made, family-helmed direction, lo-fi clips of the artist creating an atmosphere in the outdoors and plenty of red lipstick for added pop power.

"'Sunset' means so much more now than it ever did," Fya Fox tells Hot Press of the track's origins.
"After my Granny recently passed, the song hits so differently from when I initially wrote it. The concept was this idea or belief of meeting in an afterlife and the sunset was kind of that middle ground."
"I love visuals and really wanted to create something cool," Fya adds. "Still in lockdown meant shooting a simple DIY sunset video...easy! Roping in the family my Mum and sister shot the video between downpours and grey skies! Also made a mental note that day, fishnets and heels weren’t made for a farm!"
