VIDEO PREMIERE: Shane McCaul sings on a Donegal beach for his new single - 'That Day'
It's the latest single from his upcoming release Invert Y Axis.
Shane McCaul is set to drop a new video tomorrow that Hot Press can exclusively premiere.
'That Day' is a piano-driven single from the Derry singer and the fifth taster from his upcoming album Invert Y Axis.
The record "is a ten track labour of love comprised of an eclectic range of sounds and styles ranging from ballads to synth-orientated and beat-driven, atmospheric tunes with McCaul's distinctive vocals taking centre stage," according to a press release.
Influences listed for the project include the likes of Radiohead, Fleet Foxes and Ireland's own Villagers, while themes of "love, loss, loneliness and mental health run through the album".
In the video for 'That Day' shot and made by the Derry-based producer and musician Paul Casey, McCaul walks and sings alongside a beautiful Donegal beach.
The song itself was co-written by Eoin O'Callaghan (Elma Orkestra) and produced by Casey with both also playing on the track.
