Take a look at the new video from Paul Savage (formerly of O Emperor) below.
Following his success as the vocalist and guitarist with O Emperor – who won the Choice Music Prize in 2019 with their final album Jason – Paul Savage began exploring a captivating new direction with his solo project, Whozyerman? – releasing his first EP under the moniker last year. Now, he's back with 'All The Time To Kill', the lead single from his highly anticipated debut album, out later this year. The track arrives alongside a new video – premiering below.
Drawing influence from the likes of Lemon Jelly, David Byrne and Animal Collective, the experimental track finds Whozyerman? further expanding his horizons, as he continues to explore the far corners of psychedelic bedroom-pop, while retaining a fiercely DIY ethos.
Building from a foundation of drum machine beats, Savage spent hours tinkering and layering sounds over these patterns, to create 'All The Time To Kill' – which he describes as a timely anthem for navigating "the banal canal" of life. It's a compelling first taste of what to expect from Whozyerman?'s upcoming album, and further establishes him as one of the most enthrallingly original artists on the Irish scene.
