O'Brien has invited friends and fans to get involved in the upcoming project.
Conor O'Brien has issued a call for submissions to an upcoming "piece of sound design" he is working on – inviting friends and fans to contribute to the project by recording audio of themselves whispering.
In a post shared on Villagers' Twitter account this morning, O'Brien instructed those who wish to get involved to record themselves whispering the sentence "The more I know, the more I care", and email the audio to [email protected].
I am making a piece of sound design and if you would like to be inside the piece please use your phone to record yourself whispering (and/or speaking very quietly) the sentence "The more I know, the more I care" and email the audio to: [email protected]

The intriguing project follows the release of the 10th Anniversary Edition of Villagers' classic debut album, Becoming A Jackal for Record Store Day. Earlier this year, Villagers also released the deluxe edition of 2018's The Art Of Pretending To Swim on all digital stores and streaming platforms.
