Villagers released his new single ‘You Lucky One’, the second single from his forthcoming sixth album The Golden Time which will be released on May 10.

Villagers, also known as Conor O’Brien, is a Dublin based singer-songwriter-instrumentalist-dramatist who is known for his rhythmic musical talent and deep, poetic lyrics.

When talking about the track, O’Brien says that “the types of physical currency change throughout time, but the essential power relationships and bartering principles persevere throughout the cosmetic changes,”

The video for ‘You Lucky One’ is O’Brien’s video-directorial debut. When talking about the music video Villagers says, “The video, much like the song, is a complicated, messy affair full of hellish landscapes and internal demons. It exists in a world conquered by irrational beings and emotional, selfish creatures. Corruption of the soul and disingenuous motivation are the order of the day, so I thought it best to serve with a side plate of the macabre and sinister.”

Villagers will be going on two tours this spring and summer. From Friday, May 10 through Saturday, May 18, the solo band act will be doing an in-store tour in cities like Dublin, London, Derry and Bangor.

Then from Saturday, May 25 through Friday, August 2 he will be performing in 15 live shows across Europe in places such as Madrid, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Dublin and Belgium.
