After the recent release of album That Golden Time, Villagers return for a single track
Irish indie folk band Villagers make a surprise return with their new single ‘Mountain Out Of A Molehill' after announcing their 'That Golden Time Tour' this December.
‘Mountain Out Of A Molehill' is described as being calming, beautiful and graceful melodically, but reveals lyrical drama that frames discussion of conversational use of language.
Conor O'Brien said in a statement that the single is "kind of psychodrama; a song to quell that relentless attention-seeker within. It’s just some self-administered advice to me and my undulating ego.”
The video for 'Mountain Out Of A Molehill’ was a collaboration between Conor O'Brien and Brendan Corcoran, with trippy visuals juxtaposing calming scenes.

Conor spoke about his creative vision when working on his latest album in an interview with Hot Press. He says, “Creating anything that you’ve really put your heart and soul into – which is what I’ve done here – is hopeful, in my mind. Even if it’s going into the darker sides of things.”
Villagers are scheduled to play at 3Olympia on December 8 and 9, with the first date sold out. Ticket information can be found here.
