Dublin-based spoken word artist VJ Jaxson has released an animated video for the track ‘Metamorphises (intro)’ from his upcoming EP Changes.

On the song produced by Noisy House and Lilo Blues,  Jaxson delivers a discusses his past troubles, inner turmoil and hopes for a better future. The accompanying animation sees him explore nature in search of guidance and meaning.

“It’s an introduction, to my world, to my mind and how I see things”, said Jaxson. “The last few years have brought me blessings, It’s crazy how so much can change, Relationships, friends, family and myself. I hope you enjoy the story.”

The multifaceted performer appeared at Whelan's Ones to Watch last January. He is is also set to play at the Jameson Connects series at the Soundhouse in Dublin on  Wednesday July 26.

His EP Finding Myself was released in 2021 to a warm reception, as Jaxson displayed his ability to discuss a range of topics including love, mental health and faith over a genre-bending mix of hip-hop, R&B and indie rock backing tracks.

VJ Jaxson's forthcoming EP Changes is set for release on August 25.
