Kendrick Lamar leads the pack with a whopping eight nominations.
Last night the nominated acts for MTV's annual Video Music Awards were released.
Kendrick Lamar is up for eight awards, including Video of the year, Artist of the year, Best hip-hop, cinemtography, direction/art direction, visual effects and choreography. Hard to stay humble when you're up for more than half of the awards given out.
Ed Sheeran also is up for three awards: Artist of the year, Best pop and cinematography. The newcomers list features Miley Cyrus' younger sister, Noah, and neo-soul favourite, SZA.
The awards show will take place on August 27.
