Adele took home the Brit award for Best Female Solo Artist yesterday but her acceptance speech wasn’t all about her- she took the time to mention that she stood behind Kesha in her current legal battle with producer Dr. Luke.

"I'd just like to take a quick moment to publicly thank my management and my record label for embracing the fact that I'm a woman and be encouraged by it. And I'd also like to take this moment to support Kesha. Thank you very much."
