The new music video is features panoramic footage of New Mexico as Lenker roams dressed as a cowboy.
Adrianne Lenker, has shared new music video from her critically lauded LP Bright Future in the form of 'Evol'.
'Evol' features sweeping cinematography in New Mexico, and sees the Big Thief musician donning a cowboy hat, doing pushups, and tossing hay bales, with sheep roaming freely around them.
Directed by Erin Birgy of Mega Bog, the video takes place on the stunning plains of New Mexico, which Lenker said was "inspiring".
In the music video caption, Lenker acknowledged the indigenous people who care for the land: "We recognise & honour the Navajo, Tiwa, Apache and Pueblo Nations, current, past & future who steward & love the land we visited to create this video".
Sharing the video on Instagram the musician said: "Thanks especially to that beautiful land. It was so inspiring to be within its wild gorgeousness".

Birgy also paid homage to the land, saying that the video “a portrait of a wandered person, unrooted and questioning the realities of connection,” she told Pitchfork.
“Their curiosity leads through landscapes and the people invested from them. This figure is on the verge of outgrowing stoic individualism encouraged by colonialism that fights to deny [the] interconnectedness of egoless place and being.”
