Partridge took to the stage in a red Snow Patrol jacket.
Coldplay unveiled an extra special guest at their gig at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday night – with actor and comedian Steve Coogan appearing on stage in character as Alan Partridge.
The iconic character joined the band onstage to perform covers of Kate Bush's hit 'Running Up That Hill' – which continues to enjoy a boom in popularity following its appearance on Stranger Things – as well as ABBA's 'Knowing Me, Knowing You'.
The selections were fitting – with the ABBA song having supplied the name of the Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge series. He also previously performed a Kate Bush medley for Comic Relief 1999.
Coogan's other memorable musical moments include singing 'Come Out, Ye Black and Tans' on his show This Time with Alan Partridge.
"It was kinda like a little in-joke, a private bet – I wonder could we get, just for the mischief, an Irish rebel song on primetime BBC One, and we managed to do that," the actor later told RTÉ. "Hahahaha. In fact, we got two Irish rebel songs in!"

Both Coogan's parents are of Irish descent. He applied for Irish citizenship in 2019.
