April returns with a fresh new video directed by Plum Stupple-Harris.
After recently signing to Atlantic Records UK, Kildare alt-pop singer April has dropped her first single of the year, 'Piece of Me', featuring production from Fred Macpherson of UK indie outfit Spector.
The video for the track features the now-London based artist in a diner romance with a delivery boy played by Joshua Harriette.
“‘Piece of Me’ is about that feeling when someone else is a part of you - that no matter what, they will always be like a time capsule of a different time when you were a different person," April says.
"It’s about loving someone. Aside from the lyrics of the song being about heartbreak, the song feels warm, uplifting & nostalgic."
This is the first single from the R&B singer since her EP Luna came out in 2020.
She played tracks from that release on a previous edition of the Hot Press Y&E Series in that year.

Hot Press praised her set at the time, writing, "April incorporates elements of neo-soul, alt-R&B and bedroom pop to craft a sound that is entirely her own."
If you'd like to see her live shows for yourselves, she's playing the Academy 2 in Dublin and Rosin Dubh in Galway on November 15 and 17, with tickets on sale now.
