The new four-track EP release from Beabadoobee was recorded with label mates Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975.
Indie artist beabadoobee has shared her brand new 'Our Extended Play' EP alongside labelmates Matty and George from The 1975, dropping the 'Cologne' video last night.
The four-track release serves as bridge between the DIY bedroom artist's debut album Fake It Flowers and “what’s coming next”.
The EP opens with the previously released 'Last Day On Earth,' a nostalgic track about wishing you could re-live a day over again. After 'Cologne,' the collection is rounded out by the sweet acoustic-leaning song 'Animal Noises' and funky alt-rock track 'He Gets Me So High.'
“This EP was made in a really collaborative way during a time where it was really difficult to do that and I feel so lucky to have gotten to make it with my band and Matty and George. I hope it can bring people together in some way, that’s really what these songs are about, that feeling of togetherness that’s been missing a lot in the last year,” Bea says.
A self-proclaimed “sexy love song”, Bea explains: “Making the music video for 'Cologne' was so much fun, I worked with The Rest who I knew from their work with Slowthai. We wanted to make an action movie with a load of my friends so that’s what we did!”

The video shares a similar colour palette and aesthetic to the singer-songwriter's previous videos, maintaining a 2000s visual appearance.
As well as working with her on the production side, you can also hear backing vocals from Matty on the EP’s final track ‘He Gets Me So High’ – described in a press release as being ‘originally started by The 1975 with Bea adding the finishing touches’.
